This iReport is part of an assignment:
Track the oil disaster |
Coast Guard Helicopter flying over Pensacola Beach Florida
- jsarverCNN, CNN iReport producer
As the oil drifts ever closer to the "Whites Beaches in the World", Pensacola's claim to fame, it is impossible not to know what is happening in the Gulf. As part of the Unified Command, the Coast Guard is a very visible attribute in the fight to keep the oil from landing on the coast. It is both up lifting and sobering to see the CG Helicopters and the platoon of boats just off shore. Mixed emotions, very happy to see them and hate knowing why they are here.
