This iReport is part of an assignment:
New king of beers |
American Revolution
Is it time for the average American beer drinker to cast-aside the King? Maybe.
I was truly upset when I heard about the buy-out of Anheuser-Busch by InBev. In fact, it moved me to action. I quickly researched all of my college-time favorite "American" beers. Turns out, most of them pledge their allegiance to colors other then red, white and blue.
I quickly pledged my own allegiance to all those micro-brews perched along the shelves at my local grocery store. There are some things I can handle...German cars, t-shirts made in China, French cuisine...but I want my beer to be all-American. Which is why Sam Adams and his closest revolutionaries will fill my fridge and not the King and his Belgian court.
