Public Transit
I use my feet. When I need to go farther than those want to take me I use public transportation. If all of the cities had decent public transportation, reliance on cars would be a lot lower after a time. Sure it's nice to be able to hop in a car any time you want to save a little time, but it's far from necessary in most cases if you've got good public transportation.
