Stories from Second Life |
Message in a Bottle at Second Life's Fifth Birthday
In June 2008, Dizzy Banjo and Lillie Yifu, two residents of the virtual world Second Life, created an installation for Second Life's fifth birthday. They built a BIG bottle and asked the community to fill it with recorded voice and text messages.
They asked : "What does Second Life mean to you ? How has it affected your life ? and what hopes do you have for the future ?"
The response from the community was phenominal and reveals much about the impact this world has had on the people behind the avatars.
