Fox’s Stuart Varney: Workers Shouldn’t Earn Too Much

I heard Stuart (predatory capitalism's apologist) Varney this morning discuss the

    U. K.’s deficit issues, framing the story with "Work Less, Earn More," citing the situation in the U.K. as if to caution us so it won't happen here. Not only do we work more for less in America, sometimes we work for nothing.

What about furloughed state workers? Lowes employees asked to work one day a week for free? I teach college and start a summer course tomorrow. I spent many uncompensated hours preparing course materials. I won't see a check until next month. And what about exempt employees who are not compensated for overtime? That may fly for highly paid executives or professionals but not for office assistants making $30K a year.

Shall we become a nation of interns? What's the next step? Pay companies for the privilege of working for them? Fox News: it's like listening to Orwell's Ministry of Truth
