The Buddhist Pilgrims Rest in New Delhi
This is the Buddhist Pilgrims Rest in New Delhi, run by the Sri Lankan Embassy.
This pilgrims rest is for people who come on buddhist pilgrimages to India to Visit Buddagaya, the birth place of the Buddha in India, the rates are very cheap here ranging from Rs.350/= sleeping in dormotory style, equipped with cooking quarters. You have to do your own cooking here. This is a five storey building, and very comfortable for the tired and weary traveller to relax after a tired journey.
We were told by the Secretary Mr.Jayasundara, that they have bookings till 2010 !! . A lovely place to relax contemplate and meditate
