    Apple / Microsoft SHOWDOWN in San Diego

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     ChrisMorrow found a Microsoft Store opening not too far from the long line of patrons waiting to get an iPhone 4 at the Apple Store. The mall actually has both stores. ChrisMorrow says the video was shot on a borrowed iPhone 4.

    June 24, 2010 - Apple customers wait for hours at the fashion Valley Mall, San Diego for the iPhone 4. Four doors down the Microsoft fans waiting just as long to see the new Microsoft Store opening today. Check out the video of Techie Marty Morrow walking both lines and interviewing a few of the line waiters.

     

    "Microsoft seems to have copied the successful format that Apple has used in designing their store and operations." Marty Morrow on his first  impressions of the Microsoft store.
