I'm biking more
I've always had bikes and had been lusting for a recumbent the past couple years. The day gas hit $3.45 I bought my 3 wheeled recumbent with a fairing. They're manufactured just up the street from where I work.
I've been commuting once or twice a week since spring. I figure all those miles are helping me extend my fuel, I have to fill up less often than I used to.
Most of my 17 mile route is rural, the last 4 miles are on city streets. In the middle of my commute is the 2nd higest point in the county, it's time consuming to get up, but a rush on the way down!
I'm saving gas, getting exercise and living life at a slower pace. Now, can we get better bike lanes?!
