Lawmakers to break partisan stalemate on oil drilling???

Two bipartisan groups, one in the House, the other in the Senate, are trying to rekindle stalled energy legislation by forging a compromise to expand domestic oil and gas drilling.

What will this do for Americans, on the plus side, not much for years, on the minus side, it will cause big oil to submit proposals to continue government subsidies and tax breaks to offset new equipment costs, it will also give big oil an argument before congress to continue the rise in barrel oil prices, it will allow party lobbyist to continue working, and it will all be accepted by Americans who will feel the crunch for years to come.

What will fix this problem, Americans need to send congress a message, ignore party politics, stop funding the parties if you decide to stay hard-line, or voice your intent to leave the parties if something is not done now.

Americans also need to recognize the failure of two words to be said in public, by congress and any news agency, those words are," Price Fixing ", if we think about this, how many people with business sense can figure that there is no competitive pricing among all the different fuel companies, there is no talk before congress about refinery costs, repair and labor costs, that should deviate between each oil company and determine what price they should sell fuel at market.

It is impossible for different companies to have the same costs, same repairs and same labor charges, to find that there is no supply/demand ratio, but only Wall Street speculation for oil price rises and the sad truth that Saudi/middle east oil producers are unwilling to give America a special rate, or rebate even though it has been our power and greatness that has kept them safe for decades.

The change needs not be in drilling, but the respect the American people deserve, from the middle east and big oil. as our tax dollars payed for their safety and big oils refineries. We need to change the subsidy clause to mimic that of airlines, when we need airlines for crisis transportation of military, it is a no argument clause in the agreement for government backed loans, big oil needs to have that clause to make them realize that they are hurting the very taxpayers that paid to help them build and what it cost Americans with the tax breaks they are given.

Congress will not see this answer, Americans must send a message to congress and their lobby bosses. Vote Independent.

    God bless
