This iReport is part of an assignment:
Creative cubicles |
The Other Extreme
The seemingly endless downturn in our industry has left a few survivors to sit in seas of empty cubicles, under lights dimmed to save money.
Once cleaned immediately after its occupiers got the boot, many a "cube" now stores the spirits of Christmasses past: loose cables, nameplates, whiteboard scribbles, dead phones, reams of documents, personal items, boxes, trash. This probably saves us money, too.
A conspiracy buff might well suspect this serves as a tool to aid focus, a constant reminder that goofing off will not be tolerated.
Yep. I better get back to work now.
