    More from pivatana

    After the Love-Parade massacre

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     pivatana visited the tunnel where 19 people died and hundreds were injured in a crush at the Love Parade techno festival on Saturday. He said it appeared that the tunnel was too small to handle all the festival attendees. 'It's not big enough to handle all those people,' he said. 'It was horrible.'
    - katie, CNN iReport producer

An iReport Monday 26th of July between 10AM and 11PM at the city of Duisburg at the Love-Parade Massacre site

After the devastating occurrences during the Love-Parade event at Duisburg on Saterday 24th of July with

19 dead and 340 injured persons, on Monday the 26th of July between 10AM and 11AM I went to the entrance of the

    Love-Parade event.

This location is only to reach by passing two tunnels 120m long by 16m wide with a height of 3.8m.

All the visitors have to go through that eye of a needle to get on the event ground. This ground was allowed

to handle a capacity of 250000 people only but there have been more than 1 million people, it was estimated

that around 1.4 million people wanted to reach the event ground.

In the late afternoon the event ground was filled up with too many people and the organisation leaders closed

the ramp between the tunnels and then the crowd inside the tunnels get bigger and bigger and it came to a Stop-Go

behavior of the visitors which led into a mass panic.

For too many visitors the entrace between the tunnels became a death-trap.

You can see in my clips how narrow, dark and depressing it feels inside the tunnels where people have to wait inside

    for more than 2 hours.

During the preliminary stages of the Love-Parade, police and the fire department point out that there are significant

safety defects and advised against the event but the organizer did it the way we all know now.

When you see the entrance and both tunnels you know that it couldn't be possible to channel such a huge amount of

    people without trouble through it.

The organizers reject all guilt in a press conference but all documents are seized by the DA's office and an

    investigation is underway.

Many, many people are coming to the ground to light candles and leaving flowers and mourn.
