    NOLA is Rising!!!

The blue house that is now yellow is where I lived pre-K.  I rented the upstairs.  It was beautiful with hardwood floors, glass door knobs, 12 foot ceilings with crown molding...  all original from when the house was built in the late 1930's or early 40"s?  An elderly gentleman, John "Nick" Moss owned the home and lived downstairs.  His home was everything to him, besides his daughter and grandaughter, Nicole and Margaret.   Mr. Moss died quietly in his sleep on September 29, one month post-K.  He never returned to his home.

There were so many elderly who died within the first year post-K.  They are all a part of a sad, quiet death toll.  A tragic statistic no one was counting...

    peace out America
