This iReport is part of an assignment:
The view from your window |
Fereastra Verde
Here I am visiting a friend in Alesd, at the western border of Romania, on a lazy Friday afternoon in August. Out the window you can see the edge of the Apuseni Mountains, the old Communist bloc apartments, and the faint shadow of a horse cart clipping once again down this narrow street. I can hear the kids playing outside and I'm watching Star Trek (the original 60's one). Sometimes in Romania Peace Corps, I think that time has stood still for me since the summer of that decade. Who knew? Ah...serenity. And the shades of green window dressing is hinting for me to go outdoors again to drink it all in.
