Heroe's Square - Traveling the world

I was going through a divorce at the time the book came out, when one my best friends living in L.A. was in the midst of reading E*P*L called me, and told me I NEEDED to buy this book because I would totally relate.  So, the very same day, I went to the store, purchased it, and started reading it.  I devoured the book and finished it in a matter of days and could not believe that there was another human being out there that experienced the same exact emotions I was going through.  It made me feel normal and like I was not alone. I was so inspired by her physical and spiritual journey and knew that I had to act on my long life dream to travel.  I started putting the travel plan into motion.  In my search, coincidentally one of my coworkers told me about a graduate program that allowed one to travel and get a masters at the same time.  I JUMPED on this information and was so enthralled at being able to combine studies and travel! I applied to the program and got in. In the summer of 2008, I quit my job, moved all my belongings into my  parent’s basements, packed two suitcases, and set off on my European adventure. Starting out in Vienna, Austria and eventually making my way to Salzburg, Cesky Krumlov, Prague, Budapest, Split, Amsterdam, Leiden, Geneva, Interlaken, Paris, Florence, Calci, Rome, and Venice. This was my journey for a six month period.  I met amazing people, made lifelong friendships, ate amazing food, experienced the most breath taking views and forced myself totally and completely out of my comfort zone. I came back with a better sense of myself and confidence that I had lost in the process of a failing relationship.  A year and many blessings later, I ended up at my dream job and purchased my very own condo….all on my VERY OWN!
