Severe weather |
Flooding around East side of Des Moines
- nsaidi, CNN iReport producer
Des Moines has been hit by severe storms with rain fall up to 7" nightly causing flooding everywhere. These pictures are from the Grandview area off of Hubbell and E. Euclid. There are several major streets closed off by the flooding of four mile creek and a mobile home park and apartments that are severely flooded. Personally I am experiencing some flooding in my home, although no where near as bad as some. There has been reports of waist deep water with raw sewage in basements and people losing everything. I am thankful we only have an 1" of standing water in our half finished basement where our bedroom is. I haven't seen four mile creek flood this bad for years, possibly since the flood of '93.
