    Perseid meteor shower

Night Long timelapse of The Perseids

This is a night long timelapse sequence of The Perseid meteor shower as seen by my meteor camera on the night/morning  of 8/11-12. I combined all the still image captures into a short video.  Te camera was pointed north.

It's fun to watch the "radiant"

(the point the meteors seem to come from)

Rotate with the sky as the earth rotates.

The video is only 63 frames long at 7 frames per second so it plays in about 7 sec long so watch it several times to see all the subtleties!
