This iReport is part of an assignment:
Your fantasy job exit |
Revenge is best served cold.
Oh its no dream. After working at a local restaraunt on good terms for about 3 years I put in a 2 weeks notice and found a replacement for my position before I left for my new job. (Thats about as good of terms as you can get) My manager at the time was never wrong and certainly never accepted that anyone would want to work anywhere else. After one week, I asked him why I wasnt on the schedule for the next. He said "well, youve just been slacking off and we're letting you go" My initial reaction was, YOU CANT FIRE ME I QUIT, LITERALLY. I came back and worked the rest of the week. Trained my replacement and went shopping. I purchased and sent the book "Managing for dummies" to the managing staff. I heard they all got a big laugh out of it and one actually read it. Said it was a good book. Too bad there was no deployable slide...
