Chicago LGBT community takes aim at Target!

Saturday August 14th.  In direct response to Target's decision to back an Anti-Gay candidate via MN Forward, Chicago's LGBT community took the protest to the street.

Originally elated that a Target was in walking distance from their front doors, elation quickly turned to anger as Target took a step in the direction of hatred and bigotry.

Vowing to boycott Target stores, the LGBT community will not stand by and be used by Target corporation to fund hatred towards this community.

Speaking with one employee wondering what was going on.  He said that he was gay and worked for Target.  He was unaware that Target had done such a thing to hurt his community and was disappointed that they would do such a thing.

Others who were leaving the store took the fliers detailing the facts of the Target Corporation donation and were disgusted that they had just purchased items from there.  Stating that they would not be returning until Target made amends by retrieving the donation they had made.

Similarly, Best Buy made the same type of donation and should expect the same response from the LGBT in Chicago.

Boycotts will continue until Target and Best Buy end the funding of Anti-Gay candidates and really show that they are "diverse" companies, and stop using their LGBT employees as human shields in order to extract our buying power to be used against us for their own personal gain.
