American Airlines Flight 730 S80 Fluid Leak
I flew home from Chicago this afternoon on Flight 730, a McDonnell Douglas S80. I noticed that fluid was leaking from the wing outside my window while we were at altitude. Once we dropped down to land and reduced speed the leak stopped. I have no idea whether this is problematic. The .mov shows the fluid dribbling out, and the .jpg shows the stain pattern on the wing. The second .jpg is a still of the fluid leaking.
On Friday this same flight (to Chicago) was diverted to Indianapolis due to (according to the captain) being low on fuel, not being able to stay in the holding pattern until the runways opened at O'Hare. This precipitated a 45 minute flight to Indy, an hour on the ground, and another 45 minute flight back to O'Hare.
