    The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure draws thousands of supporters.


    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     WausauFamily says the race was a big deal for Wausau, Wisconsin, and he staked out the perfect spot to get his shots.

    The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure took place today in Wausau, WI. Thousands took to the streets in support of breast cancer research and local cancer support services.


    The 5k run and a 1-mile fun-run/walk is highlighted in video. What a great turnout for such an important issue.


    This is the first-year organizers brought this event to our town. Blue skies and a perfect end of the Summer weekend in Wisconsin.
