Riots in Maputo after the fact, 5pm Part 2

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     PhilInAfrica was just dropping off work colleagues in Maputo, Mozambique, and he took his camera with to show what’s going on. Men with rifles sitting in trucks and smoky, littered streets are some of the scenes in these terrifying images. 'This is around 5 p.m. after things have calmed down. People that were stuck in the city at their work place were walking home as few dare to drive still,' he said. View more of his photos here.

- The armed escort of the governor of Matola inspecting the damages. We didn't follow them as they were going in the opposite direction
- The rear of the convoy of the governor of Maputo who was going our way. We tagged along behind.
- Returning to the city from an alternative route
- This route leads to the airport. It is one of many. But I suspect all of them were like this.
- More debris
- More dodging
- Citizens walking home between the debris as public transports still aren't running
- Last roadblock to the city.
