Driving slow in the left lane

I really can't take this too much longer. I just moved to San Francisco about 7 weeks ago and it's becoming quite clear that people can't drive here. Isn't it just common sense. At an early age doesn't it become clear that you don't drive in the left lane unless you're passing the other cars??? I work at Berkeley but live in the city so each day I have to cross the bay bridge. Even when traffic isn't that bad you still can't go over 50mph because even though its a 5 lane bridge, people drive the same speed in all 5 lanes. It never fails, every single day, all day.

The other(there are plenty but i'll stick with two) thing is not signaling. I don't mean when you're turning onto another street(thats a problem too) so much as signaling when you're pulling over to the side of the road, especially to double park. All the time, while driving in the city you'll be following somebody and all of a sudden they just hit their brakes and stop on the side of the road, no signal.

    Please, don't be that guy!
