Stop Motion Rubik's Cube - How To Solve A Rubik's Cube

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     justinashar says it took 788 images to make this video and solve the Rubik's cube. He says he got the idea while talking to some friends driving around, but he ended up mostly alone in this endeavor. Still, he's proud of the result.

I wanted to see if it was actually possible to make a stop motion video solving a Rubik's Cube without cheating (starting with a finished cube, mixing it up, then reversing all of the pictures so it looks like it's being solved). This is the end result. It was about 4 pictures/turn, 788 photos total, and took about 4-5 hours  Even though it was a success, it was absolutely horrendous trying to solve it without being able to pick it up and hold it in your hands.  Enjoy!
