This iReport is part of an assignment:
The Situation Room: Your political resolutions |
Your position on Iraq
As a registered Independent, I support many of Senator McCain's policies, but I can not see the logic of his position regarding our presence in Iraq. He speaks of it as a "win or lose" proposition when clearly we have won. The leadership is Democratic, the people are supporting the new Democracy and life on the ground there seems as stable as ever. I wonder why he thinks a timely withdraw of our troops equates to "losing in Iraq". I do understand leaving Viet Nam in the manner we left signified a "loss", but this is a different war and a different time.
