In July of 2006 the Florida Supreme Court dismissed a 145 Billion dollar punitive damages award against the Tobacco companies.  It was a class action suite called the "Engles" case.  It took 13 years for the Attorney's to get the case to trial and win on behalf of 700,000 Florida residents who were SICK or DYING from Tobacco related illnesses.

But, the  TOBACCO FRIENDLY FLORIDA SUPREME COURT (REPUBLICAN), being the great body of justice that it is, said that "THE FINDINGS AGAINST THE COMPANIES COULD BE USED IN INDIVIDUAL SUITS BY FORMER MEMBERS OF THE CLASS, BUT A CLASS ACTION COULD NOT BE DONE.

So, as a result, 8,500 individual caseswere viable enough for separate action and were filed with a variety of Attorneys against Tobacco and had to be filed by January 10, 2008.

To date, nearly 3 years later, approximately 10 cases have been tried and Tobacco has lost all except 3.

Why only 10?  Because the Florida courts have not made any preparation for trying 8,500 cases.

But did the winners get paid?  Of course not.  Tobacco appealed all of the won cases and the Appeals Courts are taking there time in coming up with decisions, as is the Florida Supreme Court when the Attorney's have asked for clear answers.

You see, some Judges are going by the word of law and following the findings by the FL Supreme Court that all of the findings could be used. BUT....some Judges are NOT following the rulings, but simply making up there own.

And the almighty Florida Supreme Court has not delivered a ruling on whether this is acceptable or not.

Meanwhile, there has been no attempt in Florida for the courts to handle 8,500 cases.  At the rate they are going, everyone will be DEAD before their case comes to court or out of appeal and therefore no humane being will ever receive any MONEY from good old Tobacco.

Of courses, that is what Tobacco is counting on and many of the Judges on all levels are HELPING them.

Obviously they are getting a reward of some type!!!

NOW WHERE IS THE JUSTICE TO THAT?  Is that how low and fraudulent our justice system, judges and courts have become?

Apparently so.  Can we do anything about it?  Not to my knowledge.

This country has sunk to the bottom of depravity and corruption whereby no one is safe in the judicial system and democracy is a joke!!!!!

If anyone knows how to get rid of the corrupt judges or force any justice in this situation, please let me know.

The American people are impotent in today's world of "money and power win over everything."
