    Declining Business Values

    My dad booked retail tickets for my sister and I  to

    visit with Northwest through Priceline in reverse. We live in Atlanta

    and he lives in Boston. The tickets (ND3EC9) were booked from Boston to

    Atlanta.  When he followed directions to fix this error the first quote

    for a penalty on a total of $550.00 tickets was $1,280.00! Now Northwest

    worked on the phone with him and got the price to $462.00. Funny thing

    Priceline's quote to fix this was a penalty of $540.00 they refuse to

    even drop their own penalty of $30.00 per ticket. He is currently

    unemployed so he has not "fixed" the tickets yet. This usury penalty is

    too high. So he has written and spoken with both companies repeatedly,

    asking for mercy. Priceline keeps sending emails saying there is an

    "arrangement made" to call in but when he does they have quoted the same

    $540.00 three times now. The last time was with muted laughter in the

    background. My sister and I want to see our little

    sister in Boston. My dad has requested a 50% penalty to bring this to a

    close. The best these comapanies offer is 8 cents on the dollar credit toward fixing the scheduling mistake. Is this legal;

    are we still in America?
