Bright leaves on a rainy day, Ithaca NY
Can you say tropical moisture? Here's a sugar maple drinking in the rain from ex-tropical storm Nicole. The shot's from the top of South Hill, elev. 1,600 ft., not far from Ithaca College. We're starting to see a lot of bright reds and yellows on the hilltops here. After a near-perfect summer, the foliage is looking fabulous in the Finger Lakes.
