    In the streets of Dushanbe, capital of Tajikistan.

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     vanNieTravel visited Tajikistan to meet up with a contact of his in September 2010. In this set of photos, he describes the fascinating mix of old cultural traditions, relics of Communism and a growing Islamic influence. 'Its landscape is huge, beautiful, wild, rough, and I only saw so little. Traffic is wild and rough as well, that's just the way they drive.' He sent us a link to his Flickr photos. Now, we can add Tajikistan to our growing list of countries with iReport submissions. Do you live somewhere we haven't heard from yet?
