    Fissure Cracks or Earth Quake in Upper Michigan?

    On Monday October 4th, 2010 in the morning hours a large boom with the ground vibrating caused the huge crack. The ground rose 5 feet.

    Where there was once level ground is now raised over 5 feet into the air, the trees are all bent away from the large crack in the earth's surface.
