How my Mom explained the rescue operation in Chile

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     captureit, a Canadian living in Madrid, wanted her daughter to understand why her parents were glued to the TV this morning. 'We explained how the miners were really, really far underground, and then we proceeded to explain to her what they were doing to get them up because there was an accident,' she said. 'I'm sure she can't imagine that people are working 600 meters underground, but it sort of explained our extreme interest in knowing what's happening.'
    - dsashin, CNN iReport producer

My name is Inés Castillo Pike and I'm three and a half years old. Over breakfast this morning, my Mom explained what was happening with the miners in Chile. With a toilet paper roll, a paper towel roll and one of my little toy figurines, I understood it so much better. We hope all the miners come up safely!
