My full name is Forrest Aaron Bennett. It is unique enough that I endured a fair amount of teasing as a child and then when the Tom Hanks flick 'Forrest Gump' came out it was like being in elementary school all over again. If I had a dollar for every time I've heard 'Run! Forrest! Run!', I would be a rich man by now. Even now, years after the movie and Hanks' character have fallen out of pop culture icon status, I still hear 'Run! Forrest! Run!' about once a month. This usually happens when I hand my credit card to a clerk or waitress. Of course any introduction in an informal setting will also ellicit at least a refernce to the movie, if not the full blown line quotation at maximum volume. Thanks Tom for making my name famous and for giving people a way to break the ice when they meet me. I have been told that I am just a bit intimidating upon first encounters. My wife and daughter (pictured here with me) will tell you that I'm just a big old Teddy Bear (speaking of unique names) and that my growl is much worse than my bite!
