Time to legalize pot? |
It's Time
As the Founder and Chair of a pro medical Cannabis Non Profit, I have seen and heard gut wrenching scenarios from patients all over the US, Canada, Austrailia, the UK, and Ireland. Besidesthe fact that this legalization makes sense fically and would reduce crime, we need to focus on the people who need it the most. The Cannabinoids in Cannabis do wonders for a plethora of illnesses and could replace SOME of the more addictive and harmful pharmcuticals on the market. This plant has been proven time and time again that it is very harmless. We have credible studies from credible researchers, doctors and medical professionals. In fact, on many occassions, DEA, judgesand Nixon appoinnted staff have expressed their views. Her are three examples:
1.) In 1972, the Nixon-appointed Shafer Commission urged use of cannabis be re-legalized, but their recommendation was ignored. Medical research continues
3.)Pot Smoking Not Linked to Lung Cancer
Study Shows No Increased Risk for Even the Heaviest Marijuana Smokers
So My Question is; What happened to common sense????? The time is now. MMAG is going to work in affiliation with several groups to bring this fiscally irresponsible propaganda prohibition. Time to evolve.
Regards,
Alexander Young
