    Manassas Civil War Landmarks Dismissed - Local Tavern Trumps History

    Take a look at a Manassas hang out, City Tavern Grill, that welcomes the no-heeled and the well-heeled. The bar will be filled with Republicans, Democrates, gays, Catholics, non-believers and colorful characters from motorcycle clubs.  People speak their mind freely and surprisingly 99% of the time everyone listens and gets along. After 9-11 I needed a place to relax and lucked into the Tavern just two blocks from my home.  There is a DJ every night and the music works for every age group and taste. Many people are drawn to the landmarks related to history,but I have found a landmark where I create my own history at least once a week.
