    My grandma hated her name

    My dad's mother was named Wyvetta Jane Merritt. She hated the name Wyvetta and always went by Jane.

     

     

    It was quite the controversey between my dad, his half-siblings and step-siblings as to what to put on my grandmother's grave marker when she died. They finally settled on her complete name, Wyvetta Jane. My aunt joked she hoped my grandmother wouldn't haunt them from the Other Side because they included Wyvetta on the marker.
