iPhone in trouble (GPhone)
Although Google's plans arent definitive, it seems as if Apple's era of fame is almost over! Google has been in development of new software/operating system for the mobile market called Android. This is nothing new, but Google plans to release their software, which is linux based, to any phone capable of handling it (smart-phones), and it turns out that it will work regardless of your network! Also in development is a more secretive and exciting product called the GPhone. Google is still taking design ideas, so there aren't any finalized design plans released to date. With apple's past of closed-source systems, despite its recent movement for developers to create programs for the iPhone, it seems as if Apple will need to rethink their future. Their innovation hasn't failed them in the past, but with the recent release of the iPhone 3G, expectations were not met regarding new features. And yet, this didn't sway sales further proving Apple has fans. With Google entering into the world's mobile market, they bring along with them their infamous innovation, creativity, reliability, and abilities to get things done. There is a challange for Apple if I knew one. Google plans on releasing the GPhone in 2009, although the software may be relased even sooner!
