    Being a military brat, I had the luck to actually attend Challenger Middle School. Our class was included in a project with NASA that was to take tomato seeds we harvested from plants grown in class. The seed were to travel on the mission and  grown while in space to see if any anomalies occurred due to the near weightlessness. We were all very excited to watch and extremely disappointed when the disaster occurred.
