    Modern Family Halloween

Halloween is the only family holiday Claire has left after having to give up Thanksgiving to Mitchell and Cam "the gay guys" as she put it and Christmas to Jay and Gloria.  But, that's ok with Claire because Halloween is her favorite holiday.

Claire enlists the aid of her entire family to host her House of Horrors, she and Phil dressed as the Corpse Bride and Groom.  Jay and Gloria as the Gargoyle and Brooha witch.  Mitchell as a scarecrow (after dressing up as Spiderman at work and being just about the only one that dressed up with comical consequences including having to climb down a pipe outside to retrieve a clean shirt from his car but setting off all the car alarms in the process), and Cam as the Head in a Platter, Cam had a bad experience with Halloween as a child so he doesn't like this holiday, maybe if he could fit into Depends he would enjoy it more if you get my drift!

The most comical part was when Jay and Manny were making fun of Gloria's accent.  Jay told  Gloria, it's not "doggy dog world", it's "dog eat dog world", to which Gloria says why would we want dogs to eat each other".  And, "carpo tunnel is not carpool tunnel". So, at the House of Horrors when it was time for Gloria to do her thing, she spoke in perfect english and totally freaked out Claire who said "what was that?"  Gloria got upset and stomped outside, Jay followed her and reminded her of what first attracted him to her, her accent.  Gloria's accent is one of my favorite things about this show, she is perfect at delivering her lines and we are actually able to understand what she is saying.

Although there were many hitches in the House of Horror, in the end everything came together and it was a fun show.

    Happy Halloween!!
