Sanity Appeals To The Masses: Signs Of The Times
I had a great time at the Restore Sanity Rally. With over 200,000 of my fellow Sane Citizens we sent a message - Stop The Insanity - Stop The Fear - Keep Moving Forward - and above ALL - Laugh!
The crowd was enourmous but despite that - everyone was courteous and relaxed. Jon Stewart and Steve Colbert delivered! It was a great show - lot's of hilarity and fantastic music. I really appreciated Jon's sincere speech at the end. I thought it was great that he touched on so many issues in a reasonable way. I also thought that it was especially important that he had included a message to our Muslim American community and Islam in general.
What struck me about the attendees - the crowd was a mixture of all age groups. I almost expected to be amongst the oldest there - not the case. A significant number of Seniors showed up. Awesome! Every age group - bcakgound, ethnicity and religion represented.
