    On a world where economic issues are a reality and people are cutting back on expenses, travel might not seem the best of ideas. Might is the right word because on every cloud there’s always a silver lining and this recently created project named Portugal Dream Coast comes to prove that nowadays good things can happen even on bad times with the help of social media and a lot of hard work.

    The project is named Portugal Dream Coast and its aim is to promote the region of Setubal as a touristic destination for all types of ages and budgets, from across the world. The idea originally was brought up from the fact that the region is not a very well-known location in Portugal but it is a hidden paradise that should be properly shown and promoted to the world to see and visit since its offer in terms of natural resources and services is amazing.

    Portugal Dream Coast is a privately held company and it started early this year as an initial Blog talking about the region, what does it has to offer, where to stay, etc. It created such a buzz that in a couple of weeks a group on Facebook was also created. The group and the constant updates and interaction with people started to attract more and more buzz and more people interested in the region wanting to know more.

    People across the world started to feel engaged with the brand and the content and demanding to know more. After a few months the Portugal Dream Coast website was live offering more original and relevant information about the region, competitions to win stays in Setubal, videos, photos, testimonials, etc.

    A page on Facebook was created and the company continued with the successful option of having an online friendly tone at the same time that delivers great content about the region. Not only people from the region became surprised with this innovative online presence but also the activity on Facebook and other social media platforms live Youtube,Tripatini,Linkedin and Twitter, Trip Advisor, Vimeo, Flickr, Tumblr, Localyte,Foursquare and many others, brought more and more visitors to the website and also brought many tourists to Setubal. At the moment, there are people from more than 200 countries visiting the website and more than 107.000 people following the page Portugal Dream Coast on Facebook,with 5.300.000 interactions/month, this last surpassing the official Portugal tourism

    But what really makes Portugal Dream Coast appealing to so many people? Basically is the ability to listen to people. The marketing strategy goes along with listening to what people have to say, what do they want, listen to their feedback, always encouraging people to interact and always with an adaptive attitude. This creates the opportunity not only to do something great but also to figuring out how to make good value to people.

    This brand is not afraid of social media, in fact, it works with it, it is a commitment business, all about clarity and quality, what makes the whole difference.

    Meanwhile, Portugal Dream Coast is ready to launch of 10 specialized and thematic channels, 10 more thematic Facebook pages (Portugal Dream Coast - Activities was launched yesterday and have on board just in 24 hours , more then 200 enthusiasts), and more segmented and thematic content! We are also finalising a new website in 9 languages, not only in content terms, but also in context and specially in look and feel and mobility.
