    LIFE SIZE MONOPOLY HOUSE

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     rosanne787 says she was very emotional when she saw this Monopoly house, because it was part of an art project put together before the homes in the area were to be bulldozed for newer homes. She says the Monopoly house appearance was quite striking and reminded her of the game. rosanne787 says the area brings back so many memories and reminds her of her neighborhood, and she couldn't resist walking around the house and taking pictures of the house at every angle so she could make the images as reminiscent of a Monopoly house as possible.
    - nsaidi, CNN iReport producer

A STREET IN TORONTO, ONTARIO, CANADA WAS DESIGNATED TO BE BULLDOZED AND ITS' SMALL BUNGALOW HOUSES FROM THE 50'S AND 60'S TO BE TURNED INTO MONSTER HOMES.  A GROUP OF ARTISTS DECIDED TO CREATE ART INSTALLATIONS IN SOME OF THE HOMES  BEFORE DEMOLITION BEGAN.

ONE OF THE HOUSES WAS PAINTED COMPLETELY GREEN, IT'S WINDOWS AND DOORS COVERED OVER...THE EFFECT WAS AN INCREDIBLE TRANSFORMATION INTO A LIFE SIZED HOUSE RESEMBLING THE WELL KNOWN AND RECOGNIZABLE GREEN HOUSES FROM THE MONOPOLY GAME.

AS A CHILD, I DIDN'T REALLY UNDERSTAND THE GAME OF MONOPOLY , BUT ENJOYED PLAYING WITH THESE LITTLE GREEN HOUSES....THE FINANCIAL DRAMA AND MONEY SAVING ASPECTS OF THE GAME LOST ON A LITTLE GIRL...

THIS LIFE SIZED HOUSE DELIGHTED ME AND BROUGHT ME BACK TO THOSE NIGHTS OF MONOPOLY PLAYED WITH MY BROTHERS...I NEVER WON...BUT I LOVED ACQUIRING THOSE TINY GREEN HOUSES.
