Serving the Greatest customers on Earth!

For the last 6 years I've had the honor and pleasure of serving whom I consider the greatest customers on the planet. I work as a medical assistant on a military instilation which I will leave nameless due to it's recognizability. The clinic I serve as a civil service employee specializes in treating and caring for both soldiers in the U. S. Army and Airmen and pilots of the U. S. Airforce.

Our mission is unique in comaprison with most other clinics or medical facilities because we're treating the very young men and women that provide us(American's) with the freedoms we enjoy and sadly take for granted at times. We see these troops early in the morning for the sacred hour known as "sick call." Sick call is the time when soldiers are afforded the time to seek medical attention or make appointments for their injuries, illnesses, ect.

Our mission is unique because our sole purpose is to provide the very best medical care to these brave young men and women in order to get them back to duty. Our patients come in with a variety of injuries and illnesses, from turf toe to knee pain- to your very common cold.

Unfortunately, because of the "war on terror" we see way too many soldiers suffering from depression either because of the affect the seperation has had on family life or the horrors of combat. Traumatic brain injury is another popular injury of the new millenium. Yet these "customers" of mine are polite, repectful, and proud. I used to wonder if I would rather work somewhere else or take a career change? Not a chance!

I wake up every morning with a sense of pride. A sense of accomplishment. I wake up believing that I need to be at my screening room at 0630 ready to start recieving patients. Thats my job, thats my mission, thats how I serve my Great Country! God bless our troops, may our next president bring them home for good so they can heal and be restored to their families that they too may heal. Mr. Obama, We're Waiting for you sir!

So there you have it, I feel it's not an exagerration to say I serve the greatest cusomers on earth, servicemen and women of our military!
