    German Bell Tower Christmas

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     ebibei, 26, snapped this photo last Christmas in Kolonia, Micronesia. She returned about a year ago after living in Hawaii for about five years while she completed her bachelor's degree in Hawaii. The little girl in the photo is her niece, Sophia.

    What remains of the German Catholic Church, which was completed in 1913 during Germany's occupation of Pohnpei, the German Bell Tower doubles as a nativity scene during Christmas season in Kolonia, Pohnpei. An aging historic site turned colorful backdrop for unique holiday picturetaking.
