    Typhoon Fung-wong approaching Taipei, Taiwan

    View from my rooftop apartment facing Taipei 101 as category three Typhoon Fung-wong begins to whip and whirl into the central district of Taipei.  It's 8PM Sunday local time and the streets are deserted.  The major impact of the typhoon is expected to hit late tonight/early tomorrow morning and it has just been reported that schools and businesses will be closed on Monday.
