    Zoo Northwest Florida Update

If you have been following the story on "Zoo Northwest Florida", then you know that there are a lot of people working hard to save this small zoo in Gulf Breeze Florida.

Danyelle Lantz, the Executive Director of the zoo, has been the leader of this pack. Working with the city, county, and now the surrounding counties, to come up with a way to budget their "Recreation" funds to help offset the cost at the zoo. And in order to give time for all the members of the county and city to study this issue, the vote has been delayed a month.

This issue has been a very hot topic here in Pensacola because of the use of tax payer's money and it seems that the "for's" and the "against" are split right down the middle. 50/50.

To help ease some of the cost, we have been working with the Pensacola News Journal and eBay to put together a fund raising auction of 13 photo prints of the animals that live at the zoo. So far, 11 of the 13 have bids on them. And we have a total of more than $1,300.00. With only a few days left to bid, if you want to help the zoo and have a great piece of animal art, you should check out eBay. Just do a search on "Zoo Northwest Florida"
