    Louisiana Budget Cuts

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     samgratch was the organizer by the flash mob, which consisted of students throwing 32,000 pieces of fake money in the air to protest education budget cuts. 'Over the course of the semester the budget cuts that higher education in Louisiana is dealing with have become so burdensome and frustrating that the students decided to create the flash mob as a way to vent their frustration while at the same time ask some serious questions about where our tax dollars are going and why higher education is bearing a lot of the brunt of our states' budget crisis,' he said.
    - katie, CNN iReport producer

In the midst of devastating budget cuts to higher education in Louisiana, students are trying whatever they can to get other students involved and the attention of their legislators. Following a protest at the capitol last week, students in Louisiana seem to be on a roll. The question is if the legislators are paying any attention at all to the noise being made by their constituents.
