This iReport is part of an assignment:
Do you ride streetcars? |
Trams in Milan
The pictures here are the pretty street cars dressed up for the holidays in Milan.
We USED to the take the 33 in Milan, but they recently changed the route. It was the best……it stopped in front of our house, my children’s school, and in front of my husband’s office. We felt like it OUR street car. The 33 also ran through the neighborhood park, complete with a children’s playground, bike path and bocce ball court where all the retirees gather daily to socialize and play ball. That portion of the ride always made me feel like I was riding the trolley from Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood.
Tram 33 has been replaced with bus 81. The 81 has no character at all, and does not cut through the picturesque park, but such is life. I am happy to have had enjoyed the 33 while it was around!
