Moms are rising to defend health insurance reform

I am a guy and fully support MomnRising.  Here's their pitch.

Atencion NotiMujer (the new show on CNN Espanol)

    We're MomsRising, not MomsResting!

That's why we're mobilizing for a major campaign to fight attempts to roll back the gains we've made for children through health care reform -- gains like ending pre-existing condition exclusions and making it illegal for insurers to drop people when they get sick.

We'll make sure Congress can't ignore us by donning our MomsRising supermom t-shirts and personally delivering these messages with members in DC, and also bringing moms like Tracy, whose son is battling cancer, and is relying on the protections of health reform to care for her son, straight to Congress to share their experiences. (There's nothing like TV images of fed up moms to make elected officials nervous.)

As we go into this fight, we all need to pitch in.

Whether you're a parent who can now rest easy knowing your child can be protected under your health plan until age 26, someone who has a child with a pre-existing condition who can never again be denied affordable health care, or a business owner who can now afford to purchase health care insurance because of health care tax credits for small businesses; we all have gained critical protections from the passage of health care reform.  We must counter coming efforts in Congress to roll back the hard fought consumer protections we have won through the passage of the Affordable Care Act!
