    Teakettle Junction

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     runnerone of Doyle, Tennessee, was on his way to Racetrack Playa in Death Valley National Park California when he stumbled across Teakettle Junction, one of the most offbeat landmarks he's ever seen.
    - zdan, CNN iReport producer

One of the more offbeat locations around the country, Teakettle Junction is located in Death Valley National Park in California more than 20 miles from the nearest paved road. Being at a elevation of 4,150 feet, desert travelers have been hanging their old Teakettles and Coffee pots here for more than a century.
