TANGLED... Holiday Magic! -Interviews with the Cast-
Disney's TANGLED is Classic Disney Magic with a contemporary beat! A charming and enchanting movie, It is sure to be a holiday hit! TANGLED opens in theatres on November 24th.
With the masterful creative minds of Nathan Greno and Byron Howard (directors) Tangled comes to life with animated genius. Tangled is the coming of age story of Rapunzel; a golden-haired princess with magical powers in her hair, who desires to venture out of the tower she has been living in for 18 years and discover the world.
Mandy Moore plays Rapunzel with spunk, strength, and humor. She is a very busy princess, filling every moment of her time in the tower. Zachary Levi plays Flynn Ryder, a charming, devilish man who becomes smitten, and has to wrestle with good and bad. Flynn's good sense of humor matches that of Zachary, who kept me and Mandy Moore laughing throughout the interview. Donna Murphy plays the wicked Mother Gothel. Her ability to capture the motherly pull is exceptional, especially when she belts out the song " Mother knows Best."
To add a little more Disney magic, the interviews were held at Disneyland! I had the pleasure of speaking with Mandy Moore, Zachary Levi, Donna Murphy and Directors Nathan Greno and Byron Howard.
Brief Overview...
Rapunzel is kidnapped as a baby by Mother Gothel who is driven by her vanity to remain beautiful and youthful. Mother Gothel is seeking to retain her youth by the magical strands of Rapunzel's hair. Up in the tower Rapunzel goes, never to leave, all the while thinking Mother Gothel is her real mother.
Each year on Rapunzel's birthday, the sky fills with glistening lanterns sent off by the King and Queen in memory of their kidnapped daughter. Rapunzel dreams of seeing the sky lit with the lanterns in person. She is determined to make it happen for her 18th birthday. Enter Flynn Ryder, a common thief who is looking for a place to hide, and spots Rapenzul's tower... and the adventure of the two begins from there.
TANGLED is a tale worth watching, with its humorous dialogue and well developed characters, it will surely capture audiences' hearts! It is enchanting and visually beautiful... the glistening lantern scene is breathtaking. Children as well as their parents will enjoy this classic Disney tale.
