    Every Saturday, AIDS-orphaned children and other vulnerable minors gather in schools for the weekly feeding program sponsored by charitable and self-help organizations in Western Kenya where AIDS infection rates stand at 14%.

     

    On this particular Saturday, the children had githeri, a high energy meal of maize, beans, cabbage, and tomatoes.
